Welcome, Rhythmz friends and family, to our new blog! Ms. Niki would like to share her experiences as an educator, artist, parent, and business owner who suffers from extreme anxiety. Our first full post will be about how difficult it is to start something when you have anxiety. We appreciate your patience.

Let me introduce myself!

Nicole Durant is the Director of Operations for Braeside Camp in Middletown, NY. Braeside is a nonprofit organization that has been providing homeless, foster, and low income children memorable summer camp experiences in Orange County for over 100 years! They are grateful for partnerships with Orange County Department of Social Services, The Dyson Foundation, Cornell Cooperative Extension, The Rotary Club of Goshen, NY, Minisink Kiwanis, Middletown School District, local businesses, and community organizations.

Nicole holds Degrees in Early Childhood Education as well as Music and has been working with children for over 20 years. She has owned and operated Rhythmz, Inc. since 2015, and is using her experience to assist Braeside in expanding the current programming and reviving the historic property.

Rhythmz nurtures innate talents, develops an active and creative mind, and fosters the total development of an individual so they can achieve their full potential. They are dedicated to providing a safe, caring, and inclusive learning environment that promotes integrity, respect, responsible citizenship, and individual growth. Rhythmz offers Private Lessons, Group Classes, Camps, and Workshops in the concentrations of Music, Dance, Acting, and Art.

Braeside is excited to continue to work with their partners in promoting our shared goals of world understanding and peace as we bring out the best of the human spirit.
